Meet Team SC Sporthomes Husqvarna

Syd Putman has quickly become a rising force in the UK motocross scene. Competing in the highly competitive Amateur MX2 class of the Bridgestone British Masters, Syd has earned a reputation for his relentless work ethic, smooth riding style, and race-day composure well beyond his years.

 

From local club events to national podiums, Syd’s journey has been built on grit, consistency, and a clear passion for the sport. His recent overall win at Hawkstone Park (Round 4 of the British Masters) was a standout performance that firmly placed him among the championship’s front-runners.

 

Away from the track, Syd is just as committed — maintaining his bike, training hard, and staying focused on his goals. His drive and determination are a perfect match for what we stand for at SC Sporthomes: precision, passion, and performance.

Tristan Purdon

Raised on a farm in the Eastern Cape of South Africa—between Cathcart and Queenstown—Tristan Purdon began racing at just three years old after receiving his first bike from a cousin. By five, he was competing locally, and soon graduated to national prominence, claiming multiple Pro‑Mini, MX1, and MX2 titles. He’s a seven-time South African Motocross Champion, earning his place among South Africa’s elite riders

 

A decorated KTM‑Red Bull talent, Tristan moved to Europe to challenge himself in the world’s toughest motocross championships. He’s already raced selected MXGP rounds and taken on the AMA Pro Motocross series in the U.S., gaining valuable international experience

 

In 2025, Tristan signed with SC Sporthomes Husqvarna to compete in the British Motocross Championship (MX1 class), with his sights also set on further MXGP and British Masters appearances

Charlie Heyman

Riding under the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna banner since 2025, Charlie Heyman is one of our standout talents in the 250cc class. A rider with a strong pedigree, Charlie made his professional debut at Unadilla on August 10, 2024, and has since recorded multiple starts in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Over the 2024 season, Charlie secured two AMA 250cc starts, earning valuable experience against some of the world’s best riders. Highlighting his rapid rise, he impressed in his rookie British MX2 campaigns — turning lap times that caught attention ahead of the 2025 season

​

This season, Charlie joined our full AMA national tour with the aim to consistently score points in the 250cc class. Battling recovery from a recent injury and humidity hurdles, he’s demonstrated resilience and determination under trainer Paul Cooper’s guidance

Charlie made his professional debut at Fox Raceway on May 28, 2022, and has since amassed 8 career AMA Pro Motocross Championship starts aboard the Husqvarna FC 450.

 

That’s a powerful introduction to the highest levels of the sport — competing against some of the strongest riders in the world.

​

Despite limited podium success so far, Charlie has demonstrated impressive resilience and steady improvement in each outing. He continues to learn on the big stage and lay solid foundations for future results.

​

As a rider, Charlie combines athleticism with smart race strategy. Behind the scenes, he’s dedicated to training and fine-tuning his bike.

Our Newest Ambassador

SC Sporthomes is proud to support Jenson Knowles, our ambassador and the 2026 FIM Moto Mini 160 champion in the British Mini Bikes Championship. With a British title to his name, Jenson is making an exciting mark on the next generation of motorcycle racing.

​

At just 12 years old, Jenson secured his championship at Whilton Mill, arriving at the final round with a commanding 38-point lead and finishing in style with a victory. It was a memorable conclusion to a campaign that also included racing at Silverstone alongside MotoGP.

​

His success has opened the door to an even bigger opportunity: representing Great Britain at the FIM World Championship in Valencia. Ade from SC Sporthomes will be accompanying Jenson as his chaperone, providing support as he takes this exciting step onto the international stage.

​

Jenson and his father are also proud owners of an SC BlackEdition, making their connection with SC about more than an ambassador badge. With their own SC providing a comfortable base for life in the paddock, they’re very much part of the SC family.

​

For SC Sporthomes, supporting Jenson reflects our passion for racing and the people who give it everything. From family support behind the scenes to those decisive moments on track, we’re proud to share in his journey and look forward to cheering him on in Valencia.

#38 Our Youngest Ambassador

Rex Everard is an emerging young British karting driver who is preparing to compete in the 2027 British Championships in IAME and MightE Bambinos, based on the details you've shared.

What's particularly interesting about Rex is that he's competing at the grassroots level of motorsport, where many future professional racing drivers begin their careers.

​

For SC Sporthomes, Rex represents an exciting opportunity to support the next generation of motorsport talent, alongside the more established riders and drivers associated with the brand.

12 July 2026: Wombwell Karting Championship

Rex finished 2nd in the Bambino IAME final, driving kart number 38. He also finished second in his opening heat.

​

30–31 May 2026: UK Kart Series, Whilton Mill

Rex recorded the fastest time in the third IAME M1 Bambino practice session.

​

9 August 2026: Joe Dale Cup

Rex finished fourth overall in the opening Bambino heat, competing in the IAME category.

​

September 2026: British Kart Championship, Silverstone

Rex appears in the M1 Bambino race results, confirming experience at British Championship events ahead of 2027.
